Aaron Finkel is Vice President and Head of Publications at Glocap. He has seventeen years of experience in financial journalism including eleven with Institutional Investor. Donate to charity instead of buying this book
By student of the market
Book has little or no practical information. If you are completely ignorant to a formal recruiting process (did you go to college?), it might be of some use, but then, you probably aren't going to be getting a job at a fund.

Good for a Story Book

Overall the book is not about getting a job in a hedge fund, but about people who already have a job in a hedge fund. Although the cases in the book are very interesting, they were quite useless to help me advance in my job search. At the end of the book I just felt like a loser, because I did not get anything that could actually help me, and the same time I read about people who were talking of their particular situations. I sold this unhelpful reading immediately.

This book has almost zero practical information

Don't waste your money on this book. The hedge fund world has always been a little mysterious, unfortunately after reading this book it is still just as mysterious. No practical leads, no contact information for any hedge funds, this book is a waste of time and money.
