Give us MORE Truman!!!!

At this time there are only 2 books by A.J. Truman on this site. That's not nearly enough! Give us MORE, Mr Truman!
One of the other reviews of this book states that BEHIND CLOSED DOORS can be read as a stand-alone book. But I truly feel that if you read OUT IN THE OPEN first and get to know the characters at Browerton University, then BEHIND CLOSED DOORS will be a much more enjoyable read.
The characters in both of these books are students at Browerton University. In OUT IN THE OPEN, we meet Ethan Follett and totally fall in love with him. Along the way, we meet a few secondary characters. Truman brings THESE characters back in BEHIND CLOSED DOORS in 4 separate stories. Here, he fills us in on their back stories and really fleshes out their characters. Truman's use of dual POV's in BEHIND CLOSED DOORS is something new for this author. But he handles it expertly, and we really get to know the characters much better because of it.
I won't wast time writing a synopsis of each of the 4 stories in BEHIND CLOSED DOORS. You can read those already on Amazon's page where the book is listed. But I will say that Truman's stories are unique and touching. I expect to see a lot more good writing with fantastic use of dialogue coming from Mr Truman in the future...........the NEAR future, I hope!

Four fun short stories. Can't wait for the next.

Behind Closed Doors is a collection of short stories that evolved around the students of Bowerton University.
Door No. 1: The Whitmore Room
This short story take us back before Greg and Ethan. We saw a small glimpse of what Greg’s first MM sexual experience with his older frat brother Mason in book one, Out in the Open. Now we get to see what happened between the two Frat brothers.
Door No. 2: Is There a Porn Star In My Class?
Blake thinks he recognizes one of his classmates in a video he recently watched. Now he is trying to figure out if the star in the video is the same guy in his acting class but what happens during his discovery is not what he was expecting.
Door No. 3: Road Trip Cone of Silence
While traveling home for the holidays, Noah and Henry come together in a time where each one is needing an outlet more than ever. Nolan’s parents have recently divorced and he is a ping-pong between them. Henry just received an email from his closeted boyfriend stating he needs a break from their relationship.
Door No. 4: Coach’s Revenge
Fenton, the star quarterback has been giving his teammate that recently came out of closet a hard time in turn leading the other players to do the same. Coach is determined to set Fenton straight and make him stop harassing his teammate.
My Thoughts:
I really enjoyed reading the Behind Closed Doors collection. The author has a talent to bring great writing and entertaining plots to each one. I don’t feel like there are any pieces missing or any of the storylines were rushed. The collection contains comical banter and hot scenes. The author leaves you hoping there will be more stories to come with these characters.
Even though we get to see bits and pieces of some of the characters in the author’s first book, Out In the Open, both books are standalone and can be read in any order.
If you like fun entertaining short stories then you will love reading Behind Closed Doors by A.J. Truman.

Weird

This was an odd collection of stories. Three quite good stories with characters we know from book one, but which could have been radically improved by being slightly longer. They ended too suddenly and just needed a bit longer to create a more believable resolution. Then at the end a story with unknown characters which is literally straight out of porn - coach teaches homophobic football player not to be homophobic by showing him that gay sex is fun. What. The. Actual. F. So badly written, ludicrous - and I mean LUDICROUS - plot. This is up there with pizza delivery guy and repairman porn plots. Left me with a bad taste in my mouth, like the author needed to fill up space and added this nonsense instead of working on the other stories more.
